Artifacts are strong magical items that can be equipped by the player. Artifacts are unlocked after completing any Zone with all four gems, provided that the Zone-specific reward, if any (e.g. the Super Scroll upgrade in the Temple Zone), has already been collected.

Some artifacts have specific conditions to become active, while others may be activated by holding the Channel Artifact key (defaults to Q). The amount of time the key needs to be held depends on the artifact's Channeling Time.

Tip: For artifacts that need to be channeled, Sundial spells will cause them to channel faster.

List of Artifacts[ | ]

No Artifact[ | ]

None "It does nothing."

The player is automatically equipped with this artifact when a new game is started.

Although internally handled as an artifact in-game, it does not do anything.

Jharni's Socks of Jumping[ | ]

Jump socks "Hold Q (0.5s): Drastically Increased Jump Height."

This artifact is guaranteed to be the first one found by the player regardless of the zone the player is in, and will show a help dialog when obtained. It has a Channeling Time of 0.5 seconds.

Upon channeling, the player continuously gains the Jump Boost status effect for 10 seconds until the player stops channeling the artifact.

Staff of the Maple Leaf[ | ]

Mana staff "You gain 1 maximum mana per enemy slain. Resets upon entering a new level."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Forest Zone. It becomes active after killing at least one enemy, and does not become inactive until the player enters a new level.

While active, the player's maximum mana is increased by 1 for each enemy killed by the player in the level.

Blessed Ancient Mystical Enchanted Cursed Voodoo Doll[ | ]

Revive doll "Prevents death once per level. (Revives at 50% hp)"

This artifact may be found at the end of the Temple Zone. It activates when the player takes lethal damage, then becomes inactive until the player enters a new level.

Upon activation, any damage that would have been dealt to the player is negated. Then, the player is given the Invulnerable status effect for 3 seconds and the player's health is set to 50% of their maximum health.

Pocket Tombstone[ | ]

Desperation tombstone "You deal double damage while below 30% hp."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Castle Zone. It becomes active when the player drops below 30% of their maximum health.

While active, the player continuously gains 100 stacks of the Extra Damage status effect for 1 second.

Note: The Extra Damage status effect does not stack with other sources! This artifact may not work well with Chaos Butterfly or Tonna Bricks robes.

Bazel's Hourglass of Regret[ | ]

Warp hourglass "Hold Q (1s): Place hourglass. Q (1s): Warp to hourglass."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Desert Zone. It has a Channeling Time of 1 second.

When channeled, a hovering, spinning hourglass is placed at the player's position. Channeling this artifact again while the hourglass has been placed will teleport the player to the hourglass's position to pick it back up.

Haht the Wizard's Wizarding Hat[ | ]

Mana hat "Every 6th spell is cast free of mana cost."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Castle Zone. It becomes active before casting every 6th spell, and becomes inactive after the cast.

While active, the player's next spell does not consume mana when cast.

Due to a bug, a number that always displays "0" will appear at the bottom-right corner of the HUD, next to the player's robe.

Note: This artifact does not reduce the cost of Soul Contract spells!
Tip: This artifact can be used to cast spells that cost more than the maximum mana cap.

Muka's Dustpan of Haste[ | ]

Haste dustpan "Upon taking damage, doubles movement speed for the next 2 seconds."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Temple Zone. It becomes active for 2 seconds when the player takes any damage.

While active, the player gains 100 stacks of the Fast Movement status effect.

Note: The Fast Movement status effect does not stack with other sources! This artifact may not work well with Chaos Butterfly robes.

Columpus's Compass[ | ]

Minimap compass "Map reveal radius +50%"

This artifact may be found at the end of the Cavern Zone. It is always active while equipped.

This artifact allows the minimap to record tiles that are 50% further away from the player.

Owl Medallion[ | ]

Reveal medallion "Reveals nearby enemies in the dark."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Castle Zone. It is always active while equipped.

While active, all enemies will emit a light of radius 10.

Spellblade of the Legion[ | ]

Limitbreak spellblade "Hold Q (1s): Deals damage to all enemies on screen. Damage is 3 times the number of enemies defeated. Resets on use. Current damage: 0"

This artifact may be found at the end of the Forest Zone. It has a Channeling Time of 1 second, but cannot be channeled until the player kills at least one enemy.

While this artifact is equipped, all enemy kills will increase the damage stored on the artifact by 3.

When channeled, all enemies on screen take damage equal to the damage stored on the artifact. The artifact loses all damage stored in the process.

Warning: This artifact can still be activated when no enemies are on screen. This will still cause all stored damage to be lost!
Tip: Damage dealt by the artifact is affected by the Extra Damage and Vulnerable status effects.

Lantern of the Spectral Maid[ | ]

Light lantern "Hold Q (1s): Illuminates the world with an intense light. Repels all darkness for 10 seconds. 30 second cooldown."

This artifact is earned as a reward for completing the A Match Maid in Dörwall quest. It has a Channeling Time of 1 second, but cannot be channeled while the player has the Lantern of the Spectral Maid Cooldown status effect.

When channeled, the player gains the Darkvision status effect for 10 seconds and the Lantern of the Spectral Maid Cooldown status effect for 30 seconds. The former causes the player to emit a huge light.

Tip: The Lantern of the Spectral Maid Cooldown status effect wears off faster by Sundial spells.

The Heartseeker[ | ]

Money dagger "Enemies have a 25% chance to drop a bonus health pickup."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Desert Zone. It is always active while equipped.

While active, all enemies and environmental puzzles that yield health pickups will drop far more health pickups than normal.

Grudge Talisman[ | ]

Damage talisman "Increases damage by 100% against the first monster type slain. Resets upon entering a new level. Currently keyed to no type."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Temple Zone. It becomes active after killing at least one enemy, and does not become inactive until the player enters a new level.

While active, all enemies with the same type as the first enemy killed in a level will take double damage from all sources.

Coach's Stop Watch[ | ]

Invuln stopwatch "Increases the time you are invulnerable after taking damage by 300%."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Cavern Zone. It activates when the player takes damage from an enemy.

When activated, the player is invincible to enemy damage for 2 seconds instead of the normal 0.5 seconds of damage immunity.

Note: Only enemy damage activates this artifact! Self-inflicted and environmental damage never grant 0.5 seconds of damage immunity.

Tipsy's Mysterious Flask[ | ]

Heal flask "Hold Q (1s): Restore 80% of missing health. 3 uses per level. 3 uses remaining"

This artifact may be found at the end of the Cavern Zone. It has a Channeling Time of 1 second, but cannot be channeled while the player has no flask uses left.

When channeled, the player's health is set to their health plus 80% of the amount of health needed to reach their maximum health. For example, a player at 20 health with a maximum health of 200 is missing 180 health, so 144 health is added to the player.

Warning: This artifact can still be activated while the player's health is full. This will still consume a use of the item without restoring any health!
Note: This does not count as a healing effect, and is therefore not affected by Vampire Tooth robes.

Angry Gorgon Head[ | ]

Petrify gorgon "Hold Q: Petrifies all on-screen enemies for 5 seconds. Petrified enemies cannot deal or take damage."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Desert Zone. It has a Channeling Time of 1 second, but cannot be channeled while the player has the Angry Gorgon Head Cooldown status effect.

When channeled, all enemies that are visible on-screen are afflicted with the Stone and Stunned status effects, causing them to freeze in place and ignore all damage taken. The player is also afflicted with the Angry Gorgon Head Cooldown status effect for 30 seconds.

Tip: The Angry Gorgon Head Cooldown status effect wears off faster by Sundial spells.

Stella's Incendiary Tome[ | ]

Fire tome "Whenever you damage an enemy, it lights them on fire for 40 damage over 5 seconds."

This artifact is earned as a reward for completing the Burning Vengeance quest. It is always active while equipped.

While equipped, all of the player's spells afflict the On Fire status effect against enemies even if the spells do not contain the Fire Crystal material.

Merry's Bottled Storm[ | ]

Knockback pull "Hold Q: Knocks back on-screen enemies. Becomes Merry's Bottled Nothing."

This artifact may either be found at the end of the Desert Zone or as a transformation from Merry's Bottled Nothing. It has a Channeling Time of 0.5 seconds.

When channeled, all enemies on-screen are knocked away from the player. They all receive an equal amount of knockback from the bottle regardless of distance.

Note: The state of this artifact is not tied to a save file, but rather as a global variable. This means that using Merry's Bottled Storm on one save file will also turn all other instances of Merry's Bottled Storm in other save files into Merry's Bottled Nothing.

Merry's Bottled Nothing[ | ]

Knockback pull "Hold Q: Pulls in on-screen enemies. Becomes Merry's Bottled Storm."

This artifact may be obtained as a transformation from Merry's Bottled Storm. It has a Channeling Time of 0.5 seconds.

When channeled, all enemies on-screen are knocked towards the player. They all receive an equal amount of knockback from the bottle regardless of distance.

Note: It is possible to find Merry's Bottled Nothing at the end of the Desert Zone due to the note above.

Bibi's Chaotic Evil Ring[ | ]

Damage ring (artifact) "Increases incoming and outgoing damage by 1% per enemy slain. Resets upon entering a new level."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Desert Zone. It becomes active after killing at least one enemy, and does not become inactive until the player enters a new level.

While active, the player's continuously gains the Bibi's Gift status effect, increasing by 1 stack for each enemy killed by the player in the level.

Izzy's Bookmark[ | ]

Warp bookmark "Hold Q: Warp back to where you were 5 seconds ago. 5 second cooldown."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Cavern Zone. It has a Channeling Time of 0.25 seconds, but cannot be channeled while the player has the Bookmark Cooldown status effect.

When channeled, the player teleports to their previous position and is afflicted with the Bookmark Cooldown status effect for 5 seconds.

Warning: The Bookmark Cooldown status effect wears off faster by Sundial spells, but if the artifact is used again before 5 seconds have elapsed, the warp position may be unpredictable!

Periwinkle's Fairy Companion[ | ]

Loot companion "Collects loot for you."

This artifact may be found at the end of the Forest Zone. It is always active while equipped.

While active, the companion will automatically pick up all loot drops and send them to the player. Unlike a robe with the Vacuum Cleaner material, the fairy only picks up items one by one, and only if they are on-screen.

Tip: Casting Sundial spells will cause the fairy to pick up items faster.

Pranksgiving Cornucopia[ | ]

Fireworks bundle "Hold Q: Set off a random firework. You REALLY need to be careful with this. 7 second cooldown."

This artifact may be earned as a reward near the end of the Halloween Event. It has a Channeling Time of 0.25 seconds, but cannot be channeled while the player has the Fireworks Cooldown status effect.

When channeled, the player throws either a mortar tube, a box of firecrackers or a box of fireworks, each with an initial fuse of approximately 2 seconds. After the fuse time has elapsed:

  • Mortar Tube: The mortar shoots out 1 to 3 explosive shells that explode after about a second, each spraying colorful fireballs that can deal damage and set enemies (and the player) on fire.
  • Box of Firecrackers: The box shoots firecrackers at random velocities, moving itself in the process, often by several magicmeters. Each firecracker explodes after about a fraction of a second.
  • Box of Fireworks: The box shoots out homing fireworks that rapidly deal contact damage before exploding after about a second.

After throwing the firework, the player is afflicted with the Fireworks Cooldown status effect for 7 seconds.

Tip: The Fireworks Cooldown status effect wears off faster by Sundial spells.
